Shaping Tomorrow’s Customer Experiences Together

Two days full of inspiration, exchange, and joint ideas: On 18 and 19 February, more than 1,200 employees from all over Europe gathered in Oldenburg for the CEWE Group’s Innovation Days. The event has established itself as a regular meeting place for all brands and locations within the Group. Whether new products, further development of apps and software, or improvements in service: At the Innovation Days in the Weser-Ems-Hallen Oldenburg, everything revolved around making experiences for customers even more personal, intuitive, and convenient.

Customer centricity as a guiding principle
“In all our innovations, people are always at the center. This mindset is firmly anchored in our guiding principle ‘The WE in CEWE’ and shapes our daily actions,” emphasizes Thomas Mehls, Chairman of the CEWE Group. With their stories, memories, and expectations, customers provide important impetus for developments within the CEWE Group. To look at this topic in greater depth, James Dodkins, an internationally renowned Customer Experience expert from the UK, was invited as keynote speaker at the Innovation Days. In his presentation, “Six Simple Steps to Rockstar CX”, he demonstrated with practical examples how companies can create unforgettable customer experiences through attentiveness, clarity, and genuine closeness. His message: Enthusiasm arises where people are truly taken seriously—both internally and externally.


Ideas that connect
At numerous booths, employees from all business areas presented current product ideas and process innovations. Always present: Artificial intelligence. Already today, it helps, among other things, with image selection, product design, or as a service bot in customer support. The open exchange across country and brand boundaries made it clear: innovation is created together—for all of Europe, from all of Europe. “When we bring different perspectives together, we create solutions that truly inspire,” adds Thomas Mehls.
